Just Call Me Jessica Simpson

2008 August 20

Folks, I swear I’ve gotten smarter in the last few weeks. My brain feels bigger. It feels like it’s packed with highly important and useful information. My memory capability is climbing and my recall speed is faster. And I owe it all….

to Blueberries!!!

Yes, I have hopped on the “powerfood/brainfood” bandwagon and although I can’t quite afford the now top-ranked Acai berry, I HAVE succumbed to the intelligence-linked phenomenon that is blueberries.

Their deep blue/purple hue screams “I’LL MAKE YOU SMARTER” at me every morning from my bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats.

It’s a darn good thing too, because I’ve been used to the memory strength of someone three times my age and fast losing it.

Nevermind the fact that I had to correct misspellings on this blog about four times and two nights ago I told my husband I would sit “downwind” from him instead of “upwind” as he smoked his next cigar…

I may not be in the league of Einstein just yet, but like an Olympic athlete, I will be disciplined about my blueberry intake while regularly engaging in Jeopardy and Suduko until the world is blasted away by my hard-earned genious.

Surely my I.Q. is growing by the hour. Now I know what it’s like to be Jessica Simpson.

NEXT DAY UPDATE: Sheramblings pointed out yet ANOTHER misspelling (I KNOW genious is actually genius, it was simply a motor-skill difficulty and COMPLETELY unrelated to my beloved blueberries.) Laugh all you want to, cynics, I had another dose of the blue stuff just this morning. *huff*

That’s great!! I am always telling people to eat more blueberries. And when you get the chance to include acia berries in your diet, definitely go for it. I have been having it every day for weeks now in this compressed form with dark chocolate (which is actually a vegetable) for the inflammation in my body that I’ve been dealing with for years after my surgery, and its been working wonders on me. I’ve been recommending it to everyone! So glad nature is working for you!

What happens when blueberries are no longer in season??? How much are you willing to pay for your new brainpower? :D

    Hilarious! I love it.

I was gonna try some of those blueberry things — wuz thinkin’ ’bout makin’ a pie . . .

They wanted $9.99 for a pint of them at the local supermercado tho!!

Gonna have to try to get smarter some other way…. I find brussel sprouts to be the best Suduko food, as well as a better than marginal compliment to the cigar smoke.

I am so a blueberry lover. I eat them in or out of season but I gotta tell you, Canada grows the sweetest and biggest blueberries in the world. I ought to know, I eat them almost every day so I’m smart. Love the downwind thing. My dog used to offend me, … :) … do NOT go in there!

After my stroke, I researched this and I was so excited, that naturally I could boost my brain power. Guess what? I don’t like blue berry’s so I am still searching..
